ALICE + BEN
Set at the end of September, just as Amsterdam began to glow with the first hints of autumn, Alice and Ben’s wedding unfolded with a perfect blend of elegance, emotion, and the unmistakable charm of the city. The day began with Alice getting ready at the stylish Hoxton Hotel, surrounded by calm anticipation and soft morning light. Across the city, Ben and his groomsmen enjoyed a relaxed lunch at Restaurant De Belhamel, sharing laughter, stories and a few beers as they prepared for the day ahead.
Soon after, the bride and her party sailed through Amsterdam’s iconic canals to West Indisch Huis, where guests were already gathering. The journey set the tone - romantic, cinematic, and uniquely Amsterdam. The ceremony itself was heartfelt and beautifully intimate, followed by a charming courtyard reception filled with conversation, clinking glasses, and much laughter. As the sun set, guests moved inside for dinner and speeches in an intimate, candlelit room that felt warm and deeply personal.
Following dinner Ben surprised everyone with a children’s book he had written for Alice and their daughter Mila and gifted to each guest as a keepsake. Emotions ran high as they cut a nostalgic family-favourite cake: Colin the Caterpillar, adding a touch of playful tradition to the evening. With cake enjoyed and cocktails flowing, the party came alive. The dance floor filled for the first dance before everyone let loose, celebrating late into the night.
